...A mobile phone! XD After years of being SUPER behind in the world of technology, I've acquired my first android phone! Given, it is a hand-me-down from Steve, who just HAD to upgrade to the LATEST 4G LTE DX-TURBO ULTRA CHAMPIONSHIP EDITION MAX Droid Bionic phone last week. So I guess I'm still behind with my 3G phone, but hey. At least now I know how it feels to use apps! Lol. I changed my number for the first time in...like 7 years. :x still getting used to the adjustment, but this could be cozy! Maybe bow I'll post more frequently since I have the world at my fingertips! And I can post more outfit shots, for sure. XD

Just wanted to update that I've changed this journal to Friends Only. No special graphics or anything for it, but meh. Most of my entries were already tagged 'friends only' anyway.

Please comment if you would like to be added! :)

This one just talks about your personality traits according to your birth month. Mine:

SEPTEMBER:
Suave and compromising. Careful, cautious and organized. Likes to point out people's mistakes. Likes to criticize. Stubborn. Quiet but able to talk well. Calm and cool. Kind and sympathetic. Concerned and detailed. Loyal but not always honest. Does work well. Very confident. Sensitive. Good memory. Clever and knowledgeable. Loves to look for information. Must control oneself when criticizing. Able to motivate oneself. Understanding. Fun to be around. Secretive. Loves leisure and traveling. Hardly shows emotions. Tends to bottle up feelings. Very choosy, especially in relationships. Systematic.

This is Steve's, from my eyes at least:

JUNE:
Thinks far with vision. Easily influenced by kindness. Polite and soft-spoken. Having ideas. Sensitive. Active mind. Hesitating, tends to delay. Choosy and always wants the best. Temperamental. Funny and humorous. Loves to joke. Good debating skills. Talkative. Daydreamer. Friendly. Knows how to make friends. Able to show character. Easily hurt. Prone to getting colds. Loves to dress up. Easily bored. Fussy. Seldom shows emotions. Takes time to recover when hurt. Brand conscious. Executive. Stubborn.

I wonder if he will agree/disagree with me about his strong and weak points XDD;; As for myself, yeah I can identify with it; aside from the fact that I don't think I need to control or hold back my criticizing. I actually try not to give much criticism at all unless it's constructive, and only about something I happen to have a strong background in. (Such as lolita :3) I'm very secretive about the way I feel, that I won't deny.. bottling things up is a bad habit that I would very much like to break. Hm, only time will tell!

My friend measin_caoin took this personality test with crazy trippy seizure-inducing images and shapes, so I tried it out just for the fun of it. Surely enough, even funny shapes and flashing lights will read me like a book:

"You need to help others and to be thought of as a generous and kind individual. Often you are taken advantage of and regarded as simply part of the scenery. You work best when handling the work yourself; you do not appreciate a managerial role and tend to be uncomfortable in that position. Friendship is important to you, but it is generated on a personal basis, rarely a professional one. Consequently, family life is very important to you, and is often the most important aspect. Because of a strong sense of propriety however, you will sometimes consider the eccentric behavior of your friends and family as a personal affront. Often you find it difficult to speak up about personal anguish or pain, feeling instead that it is something an individual should bear in silence. Tradition is important to you, and you feel a sense of belonging when operating within the constraints of a predictable routine."

Am I that unoriginal? Lol jk

:) I had a decent time with good friends, good food, and an awesome boyfriend <3

A little disappointed that I didn't go to the NDK new year's eve ball, which was apparently really fun. I just thought it would be filled with a bunch of weeaboos and would suck XD;; guess not. Maybe next year!

Hopefully I can spend today hanging out with a lot of my friends. You know how they say that the events that occur on the first day of the year reflect how the year pans out? I always like to make sure to contact my friends and those important to me just to let them know how much I appreciate them on this day.

And the best part? I HAVEN'T HAD A SATURDAY OFF WORK SINCE SEPTEMBER 11TH LAST YEAR. Whew! What a refreshing feeling!

This post is short and simple, but I just wanted to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and happy holidays!

I got a lot of jewelry this year; as if I didn't already have a friggin' buttload XD;; I really need a jewelry box and like 6 necklace trees, most of my jewelry is piling up in a large shoe box and keeps tangling up ;___; gotta find something to do about that, bleh. The best gift I got this year was something I really needed: cash! X3 times have been a lil tough financially, so whatever I can get really helps. I'm saving up for my first car! Also, I think I'm supposed to file my taxes soon? Since I'm an independant contractor, I get all my paychecks in full but have to keep track of how much I need to pay back in taxes each year. This is my first year trying this, and I believe I can do it quarterly or bi-annually; my worst problem is actually SAVING the funds and not dipping into my savings for other things. Meh. I'll figure it out.

Talking about things that are non-material, I've got to say that the greatest gift I could ask for would be Steve's undying love for me, no joke. He and I have had a lot of ups and downs over the past 2 years but things are better than ever nowadays and I am so grateful to have him in my life. <3 We are common-law married now; that's not saying much but... now we can share benefits and whatnot. Yay!

I must say, it's been a pretty good birthday weekend, and being 19 feels...cool XD I enjoyed being 18 though. Don't wanna get too much older!!

I got a bunch of hello kitty items from my friends, including a bag, a hat, a keychain and diary; some cuuute jewelry, a new camera lens for my SLR camera and even a red lolita blouse/bloomers!
My family even gave me my FAVORITE gift to receive: Money!! XD Just what I needed, especially after the cost of booze, karaoke and the fees for the hotel room I spent Saturday night. My friends are great, and it was awesome getting to be happy and socialize with everybody. I even got to hear from Jon the night before; it was calming to hear his voice and have him wish me a happy birthday. Still totally ironic that we've got the same birthday XD but yeah. Things have been cool; I got a lot of great gifts but I didn't the cake I was hoping to enjoy, or the gift I was reeeally hoping to get. But that's okay, I still appreciate everything that I got! Last year I barely got anything at all lol. Just means I've gotta keep working hard and buy 'em myself ;) Gonna try to make my 19th year a very good year, heeeeere's hoping! <3

I graduated from Pickens back on Friday evening~ I didn't enjoy the ceremony itself all too much TBH XD;;

I had barely eaten all day and my hat was too freakin' small for my large dome so I had to keep fidgeting with it; that AND I didn't have a tassle to wear on it because I never received one >.> booo. Since it was an evening ceremony, (beginning at 7pm) it didn't end until around 9 and I was DYYYYIIING of hunger D: so I wasn't very happy at all. Some kid sitting behind me was kind enough to give me a spare tassle that he had ;) that was so sweet of him! And after the ceremony, Steve was kind enough to take me on a special graduation dinner out to Landry's, which is this high-end seafood restaurant I'd always wanted to try *_* I had a crab leg dinner and OH MY GOODNESS. It was the best seafood dinner I ever had in my life. <3333 Thanks again, Steve!

The only people that went were my mother, my youngest niece, Steve and my bf Carrie. I got a little miffed at my sister and oldest niece, both of whom I LIVE WITH AND TOLD MULTIPLE TIMES I'D BE GRADUATING THAT EVENING AND EVEN SENT MULTIPLE TEXTS.... and they both totally blew it off. >_>; Like, my sister just decided she'd rather sleep through it, and my niece was off hanging out with her friends. Ok then. ._________- My aunt and grandmother were supposed to come, but also had important things to tend to so they couldn't make it. They do at least plan to send moneeeeey a card in the mail to congratulate me ;D that's always nice lol.
